Jolanda, you were probably the most likely player in the game. I can't say a bad thing about you. Tell me what you learned about yourself in the game?

I mean the early swap benefitted you and Mia probably the most, but watching your path of destruction through Guatuso was nothing short of legendary. How did you manage to get so much control over Guatuso and what was your big plan there?

I think I was able to get control cause I was playing very aggresively and other people were a bit on the defense and a bit more concerned with original tribal lines and allies. My plan was just to make the merge and give myself some cover. I was never in any danger after the shuffle of missing the merge but the way the last 2 rounds there was no cover to be found and with how the numbers and alliances formed on New Churro it left me as dead man walking at the merge.

I have to say, your confessionals around the time that you joined Tom's alliance and got out from under the bottom of the merge tribe for the first time are some of the most manic, paranoid, scatterbrained musings that I've ever read. It was DELICIOUS.

Jeff Probst wrote:Tom, definitely a strong character this season, you were the voice of reason on Chorotega, I even thought you would win up until you lost the tie breaker. One thing I have to criticize, is that you were pretty wishy washy with whom you were closest to. In the beginning it was Bobby Jon, then it quickly switched to Ami, then to Mia, then in the merger, randomly to Chad. Are you like that normally, where your loyalties are often shifting rapidly and you are easily trusting in different people, or was that just a result of paranoia in the game?

Yeah, I think you're right on that, and I actually expected it to be a common criticism if I made FTC, although I don't think I would say that it was ever Ami prior to Chad's exit. But I think if you look at it I kind of had reason for it to change whenever it did. I'll admit that it more or less switched off and on between Mia and Bobby Jon for most of the NuChorotega portion, but they were both telling me a lot and never gave me reason not to trust them, especially Mia. When I voted Jolanda Bobby Jon couldn't have made it more obvious that he was no longer with me, and I could tell from her PMs that Mia still hadn't fully regained her trust in me after I blindsided her with the Chris boot, and hearing that she had considered blindsiding me at Final 8 made me feel that I had to adapt from there.

Before Chris was booted I wanted to throw a line out and tell him Chad that the boot would be Chris so that I could make him less certain of whether or not Chris was really our target (I was hoping he would think I was lying to him like the others were when they told him it was Lisa), but I also knew he was the only player at that point I had no relationship with, and I wanted to change that. From there, after Bobby Jon voted for Lisa at 10, I actually felt unconfident for the first time in the game, and Chad began to tell me everything that was happening. I realized with how much he was telling me and how unlikely it was that he would tell me that much if he really intended to boot me soon, so I decided to start to have trust in him. Although I admit that having Chad in particular as a "closest ally" was kind of random as fuck at the time.

Haha, it didn't work out like I would have liked but for the most part I was loyal to those I made alliances with and I think if everyone sees how I played and my intentions they might have a change of heart on how they feel about me.

As for how the game played out, it played out as I was expecting to be honest. I was mostly right on the mark as to who was going home each tribal and there were no real surprises.

Ultimately it comes down to game play so Congrats final 3 and Good Luck to the 3 of you, you should feel proud with your efforts.

I'm sure you mean likable, and I didn't know I was, thanks Jeff! :)

I learned a lot about myself in this game. I learned that I can't simply put trust into everyone that I talk to, I should take things with a grain of salt (especially in this game). I learned this because I believe my main downfall in this game may have been that I was TOO loyal to people that I alligned with. I was basically a first come first serve trust basis. The first message I sent in this game was to Gregg and Ibe (the only other two online at that point) asking for an alliance, and this was in the first 5 minutes of when I got there, and for the rest of the game I trusted them. When Chris warned me of Tom, I didn't believe him because I had an alliance with Tom earlier, and assumed Tom would just hop back to me. Obviously, that didn't happen. So, I can't trust people based on when I met them.

This has nothing to do with anything in the game but Chris seemed like kind of a dick in the jury house.

Like you already stated, I couldn't fathom understanding it when I first learned of it. I mean, if I gave them an honest to god reason then maybe I would get it. But it seems that they made a decision out of paranoia or some bullshit and that was that. They of all people on NuCho shouldn't have had a single solidary reason to hate me. At all.
