Brenda.... the REASON I told BJ I was voting for him.... I really was sick with a stomach virus and I couldn't keep my head up. By the time I read Tom's PMs and figured out that Ami had in fact gone to Ibe and told him what I was doing, which I was always afraid would happen, Ibe was no longer online and never came on for the rest of the night, including for TC. At that point I was sure I was getting two votes because Ibe had pre-voted and there really was nothing I could do about it and I felt like absolute shit. BJ already knew that I was pushing everyone to vote for him, because Ami told him. So I didn't see the point of lying right there. And I couldn't very well try to cook something up and try to pretend that Ami and I had flipped and were voting for Tom, so BJ thought he was safe, because Ami probably would have run and told them that. And honestly.... at that point I really wasn't considering that BJ randomly guessed the password without taking a clue. I don't think any of us even mentioned the possibility that someone had an idol. And I was convinced the vote was going to be 5-2. Which it was. But there really was no way I could have changed the vote off of me onto someone else because Ibe was not online and I knew he had locked in for me. And at that point BJ knew he was the target, so I didn't see the reason for lying about it. I get what you are saying though, but I think it's a lot easier to view it from that perspective when you have the full picture - like the fact that BJ had an idol. icon_razz But I did learn that outright telling someone you are voting for them is not a good idea. Although I highly doubt it would have changed the ultimate outcome.

idk, it might have. There were so many targets that Episode. iirc, BJ originally wanted to do Ami until Tom "apologised", then it was Tom, then Ami started pushing your name to Ibe & BJ and Ibe particularly pushed it (to Kim & Tom no less :D), then you guys (Ami/Kim/Tom/Chad/Lisa) got your act together and actually settled on BJ, wherein you told him as much. And only then did those two settle on you. Because anyone else was at least a possibility of a number the next round (they thought Kim was with them for sure), while there was no chance you were. Like, at the start of the round they though you and Kim were with them, so even with Ami's pushing of you, I think they would have eventually settled on idolling one of Tom/Ami/Lisa, or at least BJ would have. Ibe got a bee in his bonnet once he heard you were playing both sides so who knows?

The point is, you just can't do it. It's ridiculous I know, but people prefer you to lie to their face and even kind of expect it. Only last Season we got to F6 and it was very clearly 3v3. To the one person on the other side that I was having good talks with I told her flat out that obviously my best option was to get to the end with my three (because it was), and it would take their three idolling one of the others to make it make sense for me to work her into my plans. And that was the truth. Out comes the idol. Of course I am the one who goes home. Because my allies were at least BSing them that they were open to things that weren't 3v3. They weren;t of course, and it was as obvious as the nose on your face but people don't like to hear that icon_shrug

Other thing I couldn't discuss with you properly during the game was your non-vote. I actually just came out of a game a month or three back, where I non-voted our out of seven TCs :D Most of the time on purpose. (and these were self-votes too, most dangerous). I was hoping to build a rep with the Jury of not being the one to send you out. But when I did get to the Jury, I found out everyone hated it and saw it as pussy strategy and had I made the end I would probably never have won.

You did it faaaar more successfully here. So GJ :D

I agree. I mean, Jeff and Julie were great and all, but not real important to the season :P

This won't happen. But it might in a different format :o

As you can tell by the blogs I am big on promises and not so hot at following through. I have another big project on right now, but once that finishes up, I have nothing but time. So stay tuned.

Oops, I did not see this thread here.

Yes, Rob, Kim & Bobbi all ended up as not the original applications

Interesting fact, last minute replacements usually end up doing very well. Purple Kelly (the winner of Brenda's season, season 14, Stranded in Malaysia) was actually the replacement for Colton, who had signed up but unexpectedly dropped out at hte very last minute... (hmm I wonder why...)
