Due to my lack of any kind of a ranking in the main blogs (nor will there be) I'll attempt this instead. It will probably never be finished. Penny is still harping at me that she was the only one I missed in Greece, but I think it's one of the more enjoyable things for the players to read post-game. Feel free to add to it.

Jeff - 18th (Suppis)

Jeff (Confessional) wrote:We have a immunity challenge today and I'm not going to make it so yeah if we lose I think I'm going home since my tribe probably thinks me as a weak link. Hopefully we win so I get chance to stay but if not meh it was fun four days.

To be blunt, Jeff's story is very short. Jeff was booted for timezone issues. And unfortunately it's mostly his own fault. (although rap on the knuckles for you Mister Probst if you didn't correctly warn him of the likely times of challenges/TCs in advance) because it wasn't just that - he literally asked for it. You see Jeff arrived a little late to the party - far from the last in, but still missed out on the intial Jo/Ibe/Gregg(/Tom) set-up. And he knew it too. Bobbi-Jon came to him with a little push for a latecomers deal which he eased himself into. he was aware from the off that timezone would be a problem too;

Jeff (Confessional) wrote:Originally I wanted to lay UTR but now I know it's not possible since I live in this beautiful country that is just in the wrong time zone so I need to heavily focus on the social game. I actually plan to make one or two people to know that they can just use me as a one vote and then vote me out at the merge but psh like I'm going to fall without fight even though I say so.

So far so good, aware of his position and ready to fight for a better spot. Then comes an absolutely glorious opportunity when firstly Gregg & Caryn make a hames of challenge numero uno - then Tom goes on a bit of a warpath for Gregg's head including posting a confessional stating as much in public ( icon_lol more on all that later), but Jeff's timezone issues are the only thing potentially stopping Gregg from being first boot. So tom (still a hero at this point) decides the *right* thing to do is to just ask Jeff how much of an issue it will be. If Jeff gives the slightest indication of being a reliable vote/strategist he will stay for sure. And he's a fighter right?? So of course he'll .. wait .. nvm icon_uhoh

Tom (PM to Jeff) wrote:Hey Jeff. I know you weren't able to be here tonight due to your timezone, and so I wanted to make sure that I could fill you in on everything.

In case this topic didn't make it clear, we lost the challenge tonight. And obviously some people are talking about booting you, since they think you might not be able to show up to future challenges. Here's the thing, and the reason I'm PMing you: I don't want that. At all. Because Gregg quit tonight, and he deserves to go home.

<snip>

Basically, our other three groups finished within about half an hour, and it took them about seventy five minutes, and I completely blame Gregg for it because he did quit in my eyes.

So I can honestly say that I am campaigning full force to get Gregg out. I think you want to be here, I think you want to be an asset to our tribe, and I don't think Gregg gives a damn. But some people are still reluctant because they say you won't be showing up to challenges. So would it be possible for you to try to make the vote and challenge tomorrow? If it's too hard, I completely understand, but if you can manage it I think you will be proving that you want to be here and are a willing part of this team, which is more than we can say for Gregg. Reply to me whenever you get the chance.

Jeff (PM to Tom) wrote:there's just that it's 5am where I live when challenges start i usually have to go to work at 10am so yeah. I would love to stay and vote Gregg out since the quitting disgusted me but I've thought maybe it's the best for the tribe to vote me out now and Gregg next time you go to tribal council since I really want one of the Chorotega members to win this.

And so Jeff left the game unanimously. But at least he gave us a better glimpse at his potential with this glorious voting comment for Gregg icon_excited

"It was disgusting to read how you wanted to quit the challenge and give the win to Guacamole or what ever they are and its even worser than me not showing up. If it's me tonight I hope you're the next one."

Jeff (Final Words) wrote:Five days of the game and it was amazing. Even if I couldn't really play the real game because I live in Finland and it's middle of night when everything important happened I don't regret anything. I hope that Chorotega members get far and especially Tom who should win. Thanks to Brenda and Jeffrey for giving this opportunity hopefully one season will be in different time so I have a chance to play it again.

Julie - 17th (oohitsryan)

Julie (Confessional) wrote:Going into a game like this, it's hard to be completely confident. I've never played in a series like this and I know it's going to take a lot of time to adjust to. Do I think I'll win? Probably not... but I'm going to try my best and I have no doubt I'll do welll! I don't disappoint. icon_cool

Unfortunately Julie did disappoint icon_uhoh

Dolly (to Julie) wrote:nice, i had a fun time! Have you talked with the rest of the "active" players? They're nice. I love how we all are such newbies to this icon_laughing

Julie (to Dolly) wrote:haha i know! You can totally smell the "newbness" a mile away :P I'm talking to a few but I haven't been able to get online a lot because of stupid internet troubles :\

Hopefully it doesn't crap out on me today though!

And I guess ^ that's our best bet at what happened to poor Jools.

FWIW she certainly had potential. She was straight in and PMing enough and was chatting with everyone. The few PMs we have to glean info from it's clear she knew what she was doing. Most first impression rankings had her at least not last and I'm sure if she'd been here for more than two evenings she could have climbed a little higher. She was also one of the "first three" boot options that Mia was handing around, and Brook for one made sure Lisa & Julie knew about it, with those three and Dolly linking up (and by all accounts each got on with the others, Lisa & Dolly are the two who speak most favourably about Julie), why there's four votes already, along with a few more willing to drop Mia quickly and early they'd have an instant majority.

But that's all speculation and I'm here to talk about what Julie actually did do in the game, and that's already the end of it.

She's not been back yet, so no final words, but from her app;

Julie (Application) wrote:I'm most like: Natalie White - Southern Arkansas sweetheart. Honest personality and just a fun-spirited person. Knew how to get down to business too. The only thing here is that I'm not a floater.

I respect the most: over-the-top and challenging gameplay. I will never be someone who just blends in and floats under the radar to the end of the game. In my opinion, you're no one until you're talked about. If people don't know your name and fear it, then why even be there?

My strategy will be: to be myself. As boring as this sounds, it's really not. I'm a fun personality and also a brilliant strategist. I am very persuasive and such a smooth talker. People will love me. I have a very "oh he's my best friend" personality. You're gonna LOOOOVEEEEE me.

Also this made me chuckle once again icon_laughing ;

Poor Julie, gone before her time I fear.

This will not be completed due to my laziness. Something else might just take it's place though :o
