Dirty AndreaI am a member of the following forums: Survivor Sucks, Australian
Are you available to check messages throughout the day? Yes
1. How much time can you devote to the game? What are your problem hours of the day?I can devote a lot of time to the game. I am a student and my final exam is this Friday (Australian time), so the timing is perfect. I anticipate very few commitments for the duration of the game.
2. What is your main motivation for playing?Having just finished competing in my first ever online game, I am pumped to have another go. I feel that I have learnt a lot from my experience and want to put it into practice. I am motivated to win, at all costs.
3. Have you played in other online games? If so, how many/what type? I have played in one online game - season 9 of Australian Stranded.
4. Which 3 "SURVIVOR" contestants match your personality the best and how? Kim Spradlin, Brian Corridan, and Sophie Clarke. They are all very intelligent and socially adept, without feeling the need to be the centre of attention.
5. Which 3 "SURVIVOR" contestants are your favorite and why? Sandra Diaz-Twine, Rob Cesternino, and Kim Spradlin, because they are all incredibly adaptable players as well as being entertaining to watch.
6. If confronted by a fellow castaway, what would your initial reaction be? I would initially try to defuse the situation. As a trained clinical psychologist in real life I am usually successful at this. If that failed I would consider whether it is better for my game to stand my ground and be confrontation back or to withdraw.
7. How would you like to be portrayed on the real show if you had the option?
I would like to be portrayed as the mastermind working behind the scenes. I would want to be seen as a genuinely nice person with a good sense of humour, who always has their head in the game.
8. How do you think you would actually be portrayed?I would probably be portrayed as somebody who thinks they're more in control than they really are. Some may see me as somebody too nice to play such a cutthroat game.
9. What personality types do you typically get along with?People with clever senses of humour, who are able to make me laugh without telling 'jokes', and people who are polite and maybe a little timid at first.
10. What personality types do you typically clash with?People who are obnoxious, bigoted, or ignorant, and people with big egos.
11. What style of game play do you most respect?
I don't care for big moves if they are made simply for the sake of it. I respect people who are subtle and adaptable, rather than flashy and obvious.
12. What is your strategy going into the game?In my previous game, I was blindsided at the final 6 for being too big of a threat. If I am fortunate enough to play in this game, I intend to play down my abilities in the challenges. Other than that, I do not plan on going into the game with a set strategy, but rather intend to adapt to each situation I find myself in and keep my options open. I will try to play a very social game by taking a genuine interest in the other players, but I will always keep my focus on the ultimate goal of winning. I am a strategic thinker and am willing to make bold moves when they are in my best interest.
Take this opportunity to tell us anything about yourself that you would like us to know.
I live in Melbourne, Australia, so the events will take place in the afternoon for me. This will not be a problem for me, as I mentioned earlier, but I may be more active at times when others are not. I would also like you to know that Yog/Brendangel (who played Brandon in my season of Australian Stranded) brought this game to my attention and can vouch for me being a very active and enthusiastic player.
