Knowingly forcing a tie and not understanding the risk is pretty stupid.

We did that icon_lol

And how is it stupid? What if it worked in our favor? :P

I was just saying that assuming it was the immunity winner was not a very smart idea. If you knew that wasn't the case and were willing to take the risk, that's a different story.

Well, first we asked and Brenda said: icon_mystery
Then Helen said that was the case pre-merge, but wouldn't specify anything about post-merge tiebreakers.
Yet, we agreed to just vote that way because we thought Tom would go Choro-4 with us, like HE suggested icon_redface
We weren't 100% positive it would tie anyway.

Just to clarify this, anyone asked me about what happens in a tie, I told them mystery because it was.

Anyone who asked me about the pre-merge ties, or what the rules back at the tribal beach said about ties, I c/pd that bit across for them.

jsyk.

I will probably not be here tonight for the finale. Good luck everyone with your decisions :)

My mind is made up. I'm sure my vote won't shock anyone, though.

Mine pretty much is too. I'm just horrified at the thought of one particular person winning...

Same. There's clearly two masterminds up there: one that played really well and deserves it, and one that played not quite as well, got a little more lucky, and doesn't deserve it quite as much.

And then there's Bobby Jon. icon_laughing

(just kidding. I mean Lisa. icon_lol )

Tom, do you think if you could go back you would change anything that could get you to the Final 3 easier? I think you were going to win overwhelmingly if you got to the finals.

Note: This is not a bitter ploy, but a genuine question out of curiosity.

Bobby Jon actually is that person for me, because at least if Lisa wins, nobody will try to pass her win off as masterful gameplay or anything. I can't think of a single good decision Bobby Jon made since Final 11 or so, other than playing idols (an area I still maintain he fucked up in for what he was trying to accomplish.)

Just the thought of someone winning who put in about 1/25th of the effort into the game that I did makes me feel a little nauseous.

Everyone says Kim played such a great game. No matter how much she delves into her "strategy", I just can't bring myself to say she played well at all.
Who is she kidding? She rode Tom's coattails the whole damn time icon_laughing

Ibe, I hope you aren't planning on continuing this "additional exploration" of your question until you get the specific answer you're looking for? Because it might never come. Wrap it up after she answers the addendum please, whether you're satisfied with it or not.

By far my biggest regret in this game is not completely busting my ass during that Final 5 immunity challenge. If I stay up all night and win instead of Kim then we have two options instead of one and only have a 50% chance of having things be ruined with an idol. That way even if whoever remains wins Final 4 immunity, they're more likely to want Ami gone than me, which I probably go along with.

If we assume Kim has Final 5 immunity no matter what, I would say I wish I had voted with Bobby Jon and Kim at Final 5, assuming they would have gone to me to Final 3 at that point if I had voted with them. It's hard to be sure, but I do think that I made all of the right choices up until Final 5, and I really did get hurt by the two idols coming into play and indirectly limiting my options (and for the record Chad, I TRIED to make Ibe's target at Final 7 Ami instead of you in case of an idol, but the bastard didn't show up for a few hours before the vote and Bobby Jon was pretty much done talking with me at that point icon_lol .)

And that's fair enough Chad, I just don't think I would be able to stand someone who was so clueless about his position (wanting to stick with Ibe-Jo-Gregg even though they would have dropped him over their three in an instant, as I warned him icon_sick ) be heralded as a "good winner."
